Abstract:
According to the speaking situation of the students and the analysis
of the reasons which leads to their present speaking situations , I have taken some
measures to improve their ability in many respects .First
I begin with increasing their interest in English study in the classroom
and out of it ,then enrich their vocabulary, furthermore practice their
basic skills :listening ,speaking,reading and writing .The last the
target language is the language of the classrom.Translation should
be avoided . New language points are introduced and practised
situationally ,e.g. words should be presented in sentences ,and
sentences should be practised in meaningful contexts and not
be taught as isolated ,disconnected elements .Of course ,reading
and writing are introduced once a sufficient lexical and grammatical
basis is established .At the same time ,pay more attention to the
individual differences of language aptitude ,to reduce the stress
and foster the students interest.
