艾滋病去年首次成为中国头号传染病杀手

 路透北京2月17日电---新华社周二表示，艾滋病病毒去年首次成为中国头号传染病杀手，2008年前三季度共报告发现艾滋病毒死亡人数6,897人。

新华社援引卫生部报告称，2008年前三季度，感染艾滋病病毒人数翻了一倍。

截至去年9月底，全国累计报告艾滋病毒感染者和病人264,302例，报告死亡34,864例。

据联合国统计，2007年底中国艾滋病病毒感染者和病人约有70万人。

新华社报导称，报告死亡数居前五位的是艾滋病、肺结核、狂犬病、病毒性肝炎、新生儿破伤风。

卫生部称，去年梅毒的发病率提高了1/5，共有257,474例，淋病发病率下降了10%。（完）
