这封信是说，Durham最受中国学生欢迎的商学院专业09年招生已经暂停，原因就是——太多申请人了！（汗一个）写这篇博客的同时，把这封邮件捎带手群发给澳际英国的学生了，很快收到大家“热情洋溢”的回信：“孙老师，MSc都包含什么专业啊，您也不给说清楚喽”“孙老师，我要申请的纽卡、UEA、莱斯特还有位置伐？”“孙老师，您别吓唬人，我还想申请2009年入学呢？好不容易雅思考好了，不待这样儿的”......
其实，2009年英国名校秋季入学申请，澳际从2008年3月就陆续开始了，目前大多数学生已经进入确认通知书、缴纳留位费、申请宿舍和签证准备阶段。原来行话经常说－申请英国名校要提前1年，现在看来，得照着1年半来准备了，为什么，因为学校没有位置的截止时间也越来越提前了，而且让你越来越防不胜防。
不过，这件事以及前不久发生的纽卡斯尔个别中介造假导致学生退学的事件，从侧面也反映出了2009年英国留学市场的基本趋势——申请人数持续稳定增长、申请时间进一步无限提前、申请材料透明化和信息及时准确传递的市场需求。当然，从业者的专业性、服务水准和职业操守，也将接受市场的甄别和检验了。
