喀麦隆新型疾病和复发疾病研究中心及病毒学/艾滋病实验室投入运行2009年05月20日 02:58中国商务部网站
《喀麦隆论坛报》5月19日报道，根据喀麦隆医学和药用植物研究学院（IMPM）上周四举行的第11次常务管理会议提供的消息，此前筹建的“新型疾病和复发疾病研究中心”和“病毒学/艾滋病实验室” 均已正式投入运行。
据IMPM负责人介绍，病毒学/艾滋病实验室主要进行中非地区艾滋病治疗中出现的抗药性现象，艾滋病和疟疾是目前黑非洲面临的两大疾病威胁。新型疾病和复发疾病研究中心主要进行已消灭疾病重新出现方面的研究。
