广东江门率先启动“中澳卫生与艾滋病项目”

中新广东网6月13日电 (陈浩光 李健群) 记者十二日从广东江门卫生部门获悉，由中国疾病预防控制中心性病控制中心(NCSTD)与澳大利亚合作、旨在促进艾滋病的检测监测和干预的“中澳卫生与艾滋病项目”目前正在广东江门市实施。
“中澳卫生与艾滋病项目”为中国与澳大利亚政府双边发展合作项目，由澳大利亚国际发展援助署(AusAID)资助。该项目将提供补贴资金为江门市区有需要的人士提供免费的梅毒和艾滋病的筛查，以期及早发现和治疗患者，从而降低梅毒和艾滋病传播。
据介绍，“中澳卫生与艾滋病项目”开展时间为二00九年三月至二0一二年三月，该项目主要在广东江门市和广西柳州市两个地区实施，分别由江门市性病防治中心(江门市皮肤医院)和柳州市疾病预防控制中心承担项目的具体实施。
江门市皮肤医院院长朱正君表示，当前艾滋病的蔓延已经成为社会关注的焦点问题，该项目作为一项性病艾滋病防治项目落户江门，将极大程度地提高本地的公共卫生服务能力，对保护人们身体健康和抑制江门市性病艾滋病疫情的上升有很大的帮助。
