  第63届联合国大会主席布罗克曼和联合国秘书长潘基文16日呼吁各国政府在当前经济危机情况下,继续确保有足够资金用于抗击艾滋病。

  布罗克曼在16日举行的联大全体会议上说,2008年,国际社会在抗击艾滋病方面取得了一些进展,例如用于抗击艾滋病的资金不断增多,接受治疗的艾滋病病毒感染者人数持续增加等。但是,目前全球仍有2900万艾滋病病毒感染者得不到治疗;2/3的受感染孕妇不能获得预防母婴传播的服务;新增感染人数要多于新增接受治疗的人数。

  布罗克曼表示,由于经济危机,很多国家的政府也许会减少用于抗击艾滋病的投入。但实际上,世界并不缺少用于抗击艾滋病的资金,缺少的是履行承诺的决心。他警告说,现在减少投入,会造成未来更大的开支,人们也会遭受更大的痛苦。

  潘基文说,抗击艾滋病与消除贫困、减少婴儿死亡率以及保护妇女健康权益等方面的国际努力息息相关。他强调,经济危机不仅不应成为放弃承诺的借口,反而应当成为为子孙后代谋福祉的动力。

  2006年6月,第60届联大艾滋病问题高级别会议通过政治宣言,呼吁各国履行抗击艾滋病承诺,以确保到2010年实现所有艾滋病病毒感染者均得到治疗的目标。联合国今年的有关报告显示,要实现这一目标,国际社会需要再投入250亿美元。(记者王湘江 白 洁)
