全球基金向更多艾滋病人提供资金支持

7月9日消息，全球基金自2002年成立后已经承诺为140个国家提供近150亿美元资金支持，至去年年底已挽救350万人的性命。

据联合国新闻中心报道，全球防治艾滋病、结核病和疟疾基金7月9日表示，今年共有230万艾滋病毒感染者通过该基金资助的项目接受抗逆转录病毒疗法，比去年的人数增加了31%。

此外，在全球基金的帮助下，540多万人获得了有效治疗结核的药物，人数比去年增加了38%；全球基金资助的防治疟疾项目还在全球发放了8800万顶驱虫蚊帐，比去年增加了49%。

全球基金2002年在联合国支持下成立，现已成为全世界在防治艾滋病、结核病和疟疾方面的一个主要资助机构。目前全球用于防治艾滋病的国际资金有23%来自全球基金，防治结核病和疟疾的国际资金分别有57%和60%来自该机构。

迄今为止，全球基金已经承诺为世界140个国家提供近150亿美元资金支持。截止到2008年底，通过对防治艾滋病、结核病和疟疾项目的支持，全球基金的努力已经帮助350万人避免了死亡的命运。
