Speaking of HIV, AIDS (AIDS) are always people to whom the mere mention, to avoid any fear, but everything has two sides. Have you ever heard of HIV wonderful music out of playing it?
Achieve this combination of viral biology and music initiative is the University of Georgia female graduate Alexandra Pajak, she is well-known local girls in Agnes Scott College to study music.
Three months, she has carefully examined all the different DNA types of HIV, and a separate segment for each allocation of the most accurate notes and tones, the results are 17, 52 minute DNA music, album name to appropriately called "HIV Voices" (Sound of HIV).
She explained: "I am fully loyal to the (HIV virus) DNA. Viruses are assigned to each section of the property consistent with its scientific notes. (Music) sound faithfully reflect the nature of the virus."
Her to write in their own keyboard, synthesized all the tones, then found a band called Sequence Ensemble to help, the use of piano, flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, cello and other instruments to the synthesis of rhythm, he finally completed the unique music, and the result is so surprising Pajak
"Virus music" sounds actually very sweet, "No matter how fast or how slow the beat, the music always sounds very strange ... ... there is a sense of resonance."
Pajak the media, said: "I just want to show the HIV virus DNA contains all the attributes. Hope this new approach allows people to understand the science behind the virus." And she insisted that he did not mean any offense AIDS . In fact, she has been a number of patients and the positive feedback from stakeholders, such as a Russian AIDS patients that the music is very encouraging, and plans to release the HIV support site, and one said that the music reflects his HIV- complex feelings, a professor in the classroom also hopes to use this CD, to show students the complexity of the virus side.
Out of respect for science and patients, Pajak has decided never to play the music. In addition, she will therefore be part of the proceeds go to the Emory Vaccine Center in Atlanta to help with AIDS research.
