The story is told of a student and his teacher walking through a forest when they came on a fox chasing after a rabbit, then they got into a debate. The student said the fox would win because it was faster, while his teacher replied: 'Yes, the fox is faster, but the rabbit will elude him.' 'Why?'  The student cannot understand.  'Because the fox is running for a dinner but the the rabbit is running for life.'
