艾滋病防治工作年会于2010年1月21-22日在广西南宁召开。会议的主题是：紧密围绕深化医药卫生体制改革，总结回顾2009年全国艾滋病防治工作进展，分析存在的问题和面临的挑战，明确下一阶段发展思路，部署2010年重点工作。
会议指出2009年艾滋病防治工作取得了显著进展，各项防治措施得到了有效落实，疫情快速上升的总体势头得到了初步遏制，治疗后的艾滋病病死率显著下降，艾滋病病毒感染者和病人的生活质量得到改善，社会歧视有所减少，性病防治取得了进展，丙肝防治有了良好开端。
会议认为，在充分肯定成绩的同时，还应认识到防治艾滋病形势依然严峻，艾滋病、性病和丙肝防治工作还存在诸多挑战，各级疾病预防控制部门应牢固树立大局意识、危机意识和科学发展观念，与时俱进，紧紧抓住深化医药卫生体制改革的机遇，进一步健全政策、完善策略，完成下一个五年行动计划的制订；充分利用艾滋病防治资源和平台，通过预防艾滋病经性、经血传播做好性病、丙肝防治工作；将中央、地方和国际合作项目防治任务和防治目标有效整合，做好资源的统一调配和促使防治成果最大效益化；开拓创新，探索和完善有地方特色的艾滋病、性病防治新模式，鼓励、支持志愿者和社会组织参与防治工作。
会议对全国艾滋病防治主要措施落实工作质量综合考评成绩优异的16个单位给与了表彰；介绍了国家级资源整合的思路与整合情况；邀请湖北、江苏等8省（市）卫生厅/疾病预防控制中心进行了经验介绍。会议还就如何开展新形势下的艾滋病防治工作、开展整合、扩大感染者发现、加强监测检测、流动人口管理和质量考评展开了讨论。
各省、自治区、直辖市卫生厅局和新疆生产建设兵团卫生局疾控(艾防)处、艾防办负责同志，疾病预防控制中心、皮肤病性病防治机构主任，中国疾病预防控制中心和有关国际组织、大学、协会的负责同志参加了会议。
