第六届中美洲艾滋病大会开幕

新华网圣何塞３月１日电（记者张源培）第六届中美洲艾滋病大会１日在圣何塞拉开帷幕。来自中美洲以及美洲其他国家的政府组织代表、专家学者以及艾滋病患者代表等出席了大会开幕式。
东道主哥斯达黎加卫生部长玛丽亚· 阿维拉接受新华社记者采访时说，本届大会将就青少年预防艾滋病以及保障青少年获得正确性行为知识的权利等议题进行讨论。
阿维拉说，艾滋病大会非常重要，“因为不仅汇聚了艾滋病治疗方面的医学和科学界专家参与，而且还邀请了艾滋病患者代表，为他们提供了一个分享大会议题讨论的机会，这有利于促进社会大众对艾滋病的了解，更好地普及防控知识”。
对于本届大会的议题，阿维拉认为青少年预防艾滋病将成为焦点。“调查研究发现不少年轻人发生性行为时没有采取正确的保护措施，对艾滋病知识有正确认识的人不多”。
哥斯达黎加于１９８３年首次发现艾滋病患者。对于一个只有４００多万人口的小国，目前哥每年有３００人感染艾滋病病毒、２００名病毒携带者发病，另有１５０人因艾滋病去世。
由政府部门和民间组织共同参加的中美洲艾滋病大会发起于１９９９年，每两年举办一次。参与各方希望通过大会交流艾滋病防治方面的经验和成果，同时探讨艾滋病的社会影响，以及如何保障艾滋病人的权益等。
第六届中美洲艾滋病大会将持续至５日。其间，哥斯达黎加还将举行游行等活动，呼吁社会增加对艾滋病的关注、改变对艾滋病人的偏见等。

For The Conference's agenda, Avila that the youth on prevention of AIDS will become the focus. "The survey found that many young people having sex without taking proper protective measures have a correct understanding of AIDS knowledge, not many people."
Costa Rica was first identified in 1983, AIDS. For more than 400 million people is only a small country, Costa Rica is currently 300 people infected each year with HIV, 200 HIV carriers of the disease, and another 150 people died from AIDS.
