北京市卫生局、北京市科学技术委员会、朝阳区人民政府、北京市疾病预防控制中心，于4月9日在北京广西大厦共同组织和召开了“北京市朝阳区艾滋病和病毒性肝炎等重大传染病综合防治示范区建设研究”项目推进会。卫生部、北京市卫生局、朝阳区政府以及北京市科委、北京市疾控中心、朝阳区卫生局等部门、单位的领导，北京示范区项目学术委员会专家代表、各课题单位的领导与负责人、朝阳区43个街乡相关负责人，以及6家新闻媒体记者参加了会议。
北京示范区项目总负责人北京市疾控中心庞星火副主任简要介绍了项目的主要内容、目标、进展及未来工作安排。中国性病艾滋病防治协会副会长齐小秋、卫生部专项实施管理办公室处长吴沛新、朝阳区政协副主席关三多、北京市卫生局局长方来英分别发表了重要讲话。吴沛新处长介绍了传染病防治专项的立项背景和项目实施进展情况，要求与会人员充分认识国家重大专项在防控重大传染病、保障和改善民生等方面的重大作用与重要意义，并提出三点要求：一是进一步强化组织管理，抓好任务和责任的落实；二是加强关联协同、实现资源有效集成；三是强化过程监管，确保课题按计划保质完成。齐小秋副会长与关三多副主席分别代表示范区专家、朝阳区政府表态，会全力支持示范区项目的开展。方来英局长表示，北京近年来经受过SARS、奥运会以及60周年国庆等重大公共卫生事件的考验和所面临的各种挑战，北京一定能借助首都的优势，做好示范区项目。同时要求示范区项目要与社会主流发展相结合，各部门通力合作，以科学严谨的态度，保质保量的完成计划任务。
会上，参会领导向示范区学术委员会专家代表颁发了专家聘书；向朝阳区六里屯、亚运村街道颁发了“朝阳区艾滋病综合防控示范社区”牌匾。
本次会议召开，标志着“北京市朝阳区艾滋病和病毒性肝炎等重大传染病综合防治示范区建设研究”项目进入了实施公关阶段。该项目的开展与实施，将有助于北京市传染病防控能力与水平的进一步提升，并为北京市居民健康提供更好的保障。
