据丹麦《日得兰邮报》12日报道，丹麦研究人员提出一种利用免疫系统反应研制艾滋病疫苗的新方法，相关项目已得到欧盟的资金支持。
报道称，人体免疫系统不能有效识别并攻击艾滋病病毒是目前艾滋病无法控制的关键所在。丹麦奥胡思大学医院和奥胡思大学的研究人员开发出一种与艾滋病病毒十分相似的病毒，这种病毒可被人体免疫系统识别。因此，只要接种用这种病毒制作的艾滋病疫苗，当艾滋病病毒入侵时，人体免疫系统就被激活并发挥抵抗作用。
目前，研究人员已成立一家名为Skau疫苗的公司以运作艾滋病疫苗开发事宜，欧盟已提供670万丹麦克朗（1美元约合6丹麦克朗）的资金支持，而丹麦科技创新部也将对项目提供支持。
Skau疫苗公司总监谢尔温·巴赫拉米说：“我们希望开发出一种有效的艾滋病疫苗，从而遏制艾滋病的流行。这种新方法是基于对病毒结构和生物分子的了解，它将阻止病毒隐藏在人体内。”
