中国红丝带北京论坛成立 致力保护艾滋感染者权益

国际在线消息(记者 潘莹):中国红丝带北京论坛5日成立,这个对话平台将致力于保护艾滋病毒感染者和病人的权益。
调查显示,截至去年底,中国约有74万人感染艾滋病病毒,其中艾滋病病人超过10万人。由于在就业、就医、教育等方面遭遇社会歧视,他们多数选择不向人披露自己的感染情况,这使他们难于及时得到检测治疗,其合法权益难以保障。中国红丝带北京论坛将致力于改变这种状况,促进政府部门、社会组织以及各利益相关方,积极参与保护艾滋病病毒感染者和病人权益的对话,交流研讨艾滋病防治有效策略,积极向政府提出切实可行、有建设性的推广应用建议,并促进其有效实施。
来自政府部门、社会组织、法律界、学术界以及艾滋病病毒感染者等有关群体的代表当天在论坛的首次会议上就艾滋病防治与现行法律、艾滋病权利与权益以及减少歧视等议题进行了研讨。
