确诊患者是HIV阳性之后，就找不到该人了。安徽省卫生厅在全省17个市的一项调查督导显示，因为害怕暴露身份而在社会无法立足，艾滋病感染者突然“人间蒸发”的情况在部分地区屡屡发生。
今年7月19~23日,省卫生厅对中央财政、省财政补助艾滋病等民生工程项目进行综合督导。记者从通报的督导结果中获悉，部分地区存在艾滋病感染者较多失访现象；全省社区艾滋病药物维持治疗门诊的在治人数普遍偏低。
截至6月底，所查17个市级和17个县（区）有12840人自愿接受艾滋病咨询检测，12个美沙酮社区药物维持治疗门诊累计在治964人，日均服药675人，治疗平均保持率为70.3%。但是社区药物维持治疗门诊在治人数偏低，全省12个门诊中5个门诊治疗保持率低于65%，其中阜阳市仅为36%。部分地区存在艾滋病感染者较多失访现象。
通报还提到，免疫规划项目中，部分市县预防接种门诊的冷链设备和报警装置未及时投入使用，如宣城市宣州区2座冷库未安装，已使用的冷库内疫苗摆放无序，一类疫苗和二类疫苗混杂堆放。个别地区预防接种门诊中规范化门诊所占比例较低，如蚌埠市规范化门诊所占比例为66.67%，怀远县仅为44.68%。
