发挥中医药治疗优势 广西首个中药防艾项目启动

8月20日，广西首个中医药治疗艾滋病基地建设项目在鹿寨县中医院启动。临床治疗结果表明，中医药治疗可以改善艾滋病相关症状，恢复和增加体重，提高或稳定免疫功能，减轻抗病毒药物的毒副作用，提高艾滋病病人的生存质量。
广西新闻网讯 8月20日，广西首个中医药治疗艾滋病基地建设项目在鹿寨县中医院启动。作为广西首个中医药治疗艾滋病基地，鹿寨县中医院将在全区中医医院中率先开展中医药治疗艾滋病工作，结束了以往由综合性医院或疾控中心承担中医药治疗艾滋病任务的局面。
据了解，至今年6月底，广西已经累计报告艾滋病感染者和病人5万多例，死亡1万多例，感染人数居全国第2位。广西中医药管理局党委书记吴胜华说，自2005年起，广西参加了国家中医药治疗艾滋病试点项目，在南宁市第四人民医院、广西龙潭医院、广西疾病预防控制中心、广西壮医医院、百色市右江区人民医院对艾滋病感染者和病人进行中医药救治，至今，先后有600多名艾滋病病毒感染者和病人接受了免费的中医药治疗，其中有些已持续治疗接近5年。
临床治疗结果表明，中医药治疗可以改善艾滋病相关症状，恢复和增加体重，提高或稳定免疫功能，减轻抗病毒药物的毒副作用，提高艾滋病病人的生存质量。
据介绍，除鹿寨县中医院以外，广西中医学院附属瑞康医院、贺州市中医院、贵港市中医院和苍梧县中医院也是首批中医药治疗艾滋病基地建设单位，这些中医或中西医结合医疗单位将于今年9月底前全部启动该项目。
