美国权威工资收入调研机构-PayScale近期发布了美国本科各类专业的起薪和职业中期的收入调查报告。其中Starting Median Pay是指本科毕业2年后的年薪状况，Mid-Career Median Play是指毕业后15年所获年薪状况。这些数字对大家选择专业会有一定指导意义。


从十大薪酬最高的专业来看，没有我们通常热捧的金融、会计等专业，而以工程类专业为主，如前十大薪酬最高的专业依次为：石油工程、航空工程、化学工程、电子工程、核工程、应用数学、生物医学工程、物理、计算机工程和经济学。
 
值得注意的是，以上数据是基于：
1、最高学历是本科；
2、薪酬为在美国全职工作的薪酬；
 
PayScale从美国2400所授予本科学位的大学中调查了999所，数据有一定代表性。以下是详细榜单：

在此笔者想特别指出的是，其实没有所谓的“钱”途亮丽的专业。很多专业现在很热门，不代表以后仍旧热门。还有，学什么专业不一定今后从事和这个专业相关的职业。美国大学教育的根本目的是教会你批判性思考和解决问题的能力。

 

选择专业一定要考虑到自己的兴趣、爱好、特长等，不能看哪个专业热门、哪个专业好找工作而进行盲目选择。每个专业对人的要求不一样，如果既没有兴趣、又不擅长而硬着头皮学，最后可能得不偿失。不过，去美国读本科倒不一定要把专业定得太死，因为美国大学转专业很容易，而且一般在大三才确定最后主攻专业。所以去美国读本科，有一个大概方向就可以了，不要一上来就要读金融、读传媒、读会计，很多大学商科本科只提供BBA学位（商业管理），根本就不分金融、会计专业，很多美国大学是在研究生阶段再提供专业的培训。
