交警在三轮车车尾挡板上写了8个字：爱滋患者，请勿靠近。
9月28日，成都一位艾滋病病毒感染者苦守近六年的秘密被一名交警无意揭开。当天，交警挡下了他用于营运拉客的三轮车。他向交警出示自己感染艾滋病病毒的告知书后，交警同意放行，但在三轮车上写了8个字：“爱(艾)滋患者，请勿靠近”。对此，当事交警的解释是，这是出于保护他的目的。“我对艾滋一点也不排斥，写上这几个字，以免其他交警再拦他。”（10月1日成都全搜索）
艾滋病病毒只会通过三种途径传播，即血液、母婴和性行为。日常的接触并不会让人感染艾滋病毒。经过近些年对艾滋病防治知识的宣传，这些知识已经逐渐地成为了一种常识。
刘警官说在车上写那几个字，是出于对艾滋病人的保护。可是，从这几个字所表达的意思及其所产生的实际效果来看，这更像是一个事后给自己推卸责任的借口。写在车上的“艾滋患者”四个字，分明就是在向所有人公开车夫的艾滋病病毒感染者的身份，而“请勿靠近”四个字，则是在告诫别人远离这位车夫。这根本就不是什么“保护”，而是赤裸裸的歧视，更是一种极不道德的行为！
不仅如此，它还是一个法律上的侵权行为。艾滋病病毒感染者不会因为自己的日常行为而对他人产生任何威胁，那么，他们感染艾滋病病毒这件事，就具有了个人隐私的性质，把他们的隐私公之于众，就是对其隐私权的侵犯。
在目前社会对艾滋病毒感染者仍然存在严重歧视的情况下，对感染者隐私的保护，显得尤为重要。在刘警官那里，所谓的“保护”只是一个借口，他的举动说明，歧视，甚至是来自负有对社会起到引导、表率职责的公职人员的歧视，仍然根深蒂固。公职人员在获知艾滋病毒感染者信息上，拥有更便利的条件。所以，公职人员对于感染者隐私的保护，也就负有更大的责任。相应的，像刘警官这样侵犯感染者隐私权，并且要求大家“请勿靠近”的举动，必须受到道义上的谴责和法律的惩罚。
每个人都有不受歧视的权利，这里的“每个人”，当然也包括艾滋病病毒感染者。歧视往往会引生不满和冲突，其结果是，不仅保护不了被歧视者，甚至也保护不了歧视别人的人。一个充满爱和善意的社会，一个每个人的权益都能得到保护和善待的社会，才是最安全的。
