深圳南山区西丽街道地处城乡接合部，人口结构比较特殊，外来务工人员子女放学后无人看管，针对这种现状，西丽街道在曙光社区开办了一所“四点半课堂”，受到居民欢迎。据悉，“四点半课堂”是深圳计生系统的一个计生创新服务品牌。
西丽街道利用社区生育文化中心这个平台，在曙光社区开办了一所让家长放心的“四点半课堂”，每天下午4点半学生放学后至6点父母下班前的这段“真空”时间，召集街道和社区的多名社工和志愿者轮流到课堂督促学生做作业并辅导他们功课。周六、周日，“四点半课堂”还请来专家为年轻的父母们传授育儿、青春健康教育等经验。“四点半课堂”的开办，不仅解决了辖区居民没空看管子女的燃眉之急，也给孩子们提供了一个良好的学习场所，成为西丽街道开展“生育关怀”的重要项目之一，今后将会在全街道推广。（罗云芳 李维冰）
又讯 为了预防艾滋病的传播，深圳南山区沙河街道今年选取辖区企业巴士集团华侨城车队，作为预防艾滋病工作场所同伴教育项目的试点单位，积极开展同伴教育，累计培训12次，近200人，其中培养优秀主持人8名。
根据《关于中国计生协与国际劳工组织合作开展生殖健康/艾滋病预防项目的通知》的精神，南山区沙河街道在区计生局的指导下，认真组织学习了《工作场所同伴教育者培训手册》，把“生殖与避孕”、“艾滋病的传播与预防”、“男女交往之道”、“幸福人生与婚育计划”等做成幻灯片和资料，严格按照手册要求组织目标受众者培训，既节省了时间、提高了效率，又取得了良好的培训效果，使员工从最初对生殖健康、艾滋病等知识的懵懂无知，到深入了解，并学会如何保护自己。（罗云芳）
