People in New Delhi, November 22 (Reporter Wang Lei), according to UNAIDS 2011 World AIDS Day report shows decline in number of AIDS patients in India to become the largest country.

India is the largest number of HIV infections in Asia countries, the latest statistics show that in 2010 India, the number of AIDS patients and virus carriers with the peak period of 1996 decreased by 56%. South and Southeast Asia in 2010 to 27 million new cases, below the 1996 peak period 40% of new cases.

The report shows that the global number of AIDS patients and virus carriers, compared with the peak period, reducing by 21%.
