尼日利亚艾滋病感染率下降至4.1%

    新华网拉各斯3月24日电（记者曹凯　李怀林）尼日利亚卫生部长奥涅布希·丘库24日在首都阿布贾说，尼日利亚艾滋病病毒感染率已从2001年的5．8％下降至目前的4．1％，感染人口约为310万。
    丘库在出席尼日利亚怀孕妇女艾滋病调查项目启动仪式上说，1991年尼日利亚艾滋病病毒感染率仅为1．8％，1995年上升至4．5％，2001年上升至最高点5．8％，此后感染率开始下降。丘库认为富有成效的各种艾滋病干预措施降低了感染率。15岁到24岁之间重点人群的感染率也从2001年的6％下降至2010年的4．1％。
    丘库说，艾滋病仍然是尼日利亚一个严重的公共卫生问题，需要全社会高度重视齐心协力来应对。
