获得性免疫缺陷综合症(AIDS)又称艾滋病，是一种由人免疫缺陷病毒(HIV)感染引起的性传播疾病。HIV母婴垂直传播是指HIV病毒感染的妇女在妊娠期、分娩期或产后哺乳过程中将HIV病毒传播给胎儿或新生儿，导致胎儿或婴儿感染艾滋病。近年中，母婴垂直传播的比例出现上升趋势，因此，预防HIV母婴传播十分必要。

1、加强孕期教育
迄今为止，对于AIDS和HIV尚无可靠的治疗方法，任何药物均可对母婴产生不同程度的不良影响，因此预防是最为关键的问题。
孕前咨询：在计划妊娠前的3-6个月，夫妇双方均进行HIV检测，如患病则应避孕治疗。
采取健康的行为：避免不良性关系，慎用血液制品或接受输血，有保护的性生活，远离毒品，以防感染艾滋病。
2、孕期自愿咨询检测
所有孕妇都应该接受艾滋病自愿咨询检测，根据不同对象，不同的检测结果，分别给予指导。
3、积极配合使用药物
药物大量的实践证明，多奇呋啶、维乐命、拉夫米啶等药物的应用，能够有效地降低HIV的母婴传播。
4、采用人工喂养
提倡人工喂养，避免母乳喂养，杜绝混合喂养。无条件仍喂养时，应保证纯母乳喂养，并缩短时间，最长不应该超过4个月。
