日前，关于国内部分省市惊现“阴性艾滋病”的报道充斥网络。该消息称，患者身体症状与艾滋病急性发作期症状极为相似，如：头晕、疲乏、淋巴肿胀，最可怕的还有皮下出血、舌苔生绒毛等。因为患者血清检测HIV为阴性，临床报告也显示无明显器质性病变，但患者因为有以上症状，就断定自己患了艾滋病，“民间诊断”其为阴性艾滋病。
那么，到底医学上有没有这种所谓的阴性艾滋病呢？笔者采访了国内知名艾滋病诊疗专家、我校附属公共卫生临床中心副主任卢洪洲教授，请他对这一现状进行专业的剖析与解读。
“HIV检测是阳性才叫艾滋病，既然为阴性那就不是艾滋病，所以，根本就没有阴性艾滋病这一说。”访谈伊始，卢教授就对传闻中的所谓“民间诊断”予以断然否定。
“目前所流传的这种病，其实就是艾滋病恐惧症，在《中国精神障碍分类与诊断标准（CCMD-3）》中早有此病的定义。它是一种心理疾病，在临床上比较常见，只不过近来随着家庭婚姻、两性关系、生活压力等一些社会问题的增多，产生这种心理问题的人群也相应增多而已。”卢教授解释道。
哪些人会患上艾滋病恐惧症呢？卢教授指出，一般都是些对艾滋病临床表现与传播途径有片面认识或错误理解的人。这些人中有相当一部分存在不安全性行为，心理上既害怕又有罪恶感，也有一部分无高危行为的人，恐惧完全出于自身主观想象与联想。总之，这类患者的性格多半偏于胆小、内向、多疑，因为受自身高危行为以及生活压力事件的影响，即使HIV检测为阴性，但他们还是自我认定，在内心煎熬中，反复求医。
卢教授强调，如患者精神症状严重，已影响生活及工作，对其的医学治疗应及时跟进，可考虑给予抗焦虑药物和相对应的心理干预。同时，当“恐艾症”成为一种社会现象，加强对民众的医学知识普及以及对于家庭伦理、婚姻关系、人生价值观等方面的正确引导，应成为当务之急。
据悉，在2009年出版、由卢洪洲教授主编的《艾滋病及其相关疾病诊疗常规》一书中，第七章就是关于艾滋病恐惧症的阐述。据介绍，早在20世纪80年代，国外就首先对其报道并定义，它就是对艾滋病的恐惧及伴随恐惧产生的各种生理与心理的不适症状。而国内对其定义是：一种混合型神经症。核心症状为焦虑、疑病、恐惧、强迫、抑郁症状中的某一种或几种，也可同时伴与艾滋病的临床症状相类似的躯体症状。
