本报讯（通讯员夏家红 涂晓晨）武汉协和医院二位青年学者的科研项目获得全球最大慈善基金会高达10万美元的资助。4月28日，由世界首富比尔·盖茨创立的“比尔及梅琳达·盖茨基金会”宣布，协和医院皮肤科陈宏翔副教授、王琳博士一项试图攻克艾滋病的新方法研究入选，同时获得资助的还有来自全球25个国家的共88个项目，中国仅2项。
盖茨基金会一向关注全球健康问题，在中国最广为人知的项目就是艾滋病防治。本次资助活动名为“探索大挑战”项目，是该基金会“全球健康计划”的一部分，旨在鼓励研究人员尝试有可能改善全球健康面貌的创新方案。活动为期5年，资助总额达1亿美元，今年已进行到第六轮，每个入选项目都将获得10万美元研究经费。
陈宏翔副教授、王琳博士联合日本九州大学皮肤科谢立宁博士，大胆创想、自主摸索的“用X线激发的光动力学疗法消灭HIV”项目，试图通过开发一种稀土纳米颗粒，在X射线激发下直接深入体内消灭HIV病毒和病毒感染的细胞。此方案得到美国国立卫生研究院（NIH）和美国国家过敏症和感染性疾病研究所（NIAID）的浓厚兴趣，如果在盖茨基金会一年资助期内能够初显成效，凸显较高科研价值，将有机会获得NIH和NIAID的长期资助。
湖北省皮肤学会主委、协和医院皮肤科主任涂亚庭教授表示，这个项目填补了湖北地区空白，青年学者的创新探索精神和实践非常值得赞赏和嘉许。
