“我能活多长时间？”这是HIV患者最头疼的问题。但这个问题如同世界上一些悬而未决的事情一样，答案是复杂的、不确定的和变化的。

HIV患者能活多久？这取决于你是什么样的人。比如，静脉吸毒的、合并感染肝炎病毒的、抑郁症的生存期相对短，还有其他种族和性别的比白种男性生存期短。

这还取决于你在那里。显而易见在“发达”国家的患者比“资源匮乏”地区患者生存长。但更准确的说，不管你在哪里生活，能得到有质量的医疗服务是延长生存期的保证。这些“医疗服务”包括基本的治疗，心理支持，卫生的水，没有战争等等。
