　　“首先，三个月的时间当同伴教育员让我学习到很多知识。比如，通过法律知识的培训，使我对国家针对艾滋病的政策有了进一步的了解，结合现在艾滋病人在舆论、就业、就医、保险等方面收到的歧视，使我明白要想真正消除艾滋歧视依然任重道远。

　　以往，只是在书本中看到过艾滋病人生出健康宝宝的故事。在红丝带之家，一位HIV感染者产下了一对健康的异性双胞胎，当她把孩子可爱的照片给我们教育员观看时，每个人都为她感到欣慰和高兴。母婴阻断技术成功的实现了艾滋病人为人父母的愿望，随着科技的发展，技术的进步，相信会有更多的艾滋病人实现自己的夙愿！作为同伴教育员，在帮助别人的同时，我们自己也受到了教育和鼓励，我们的生活目标也更加明晰，前景愈发灿烂，我们和其他人一样可以拥有美好的明天！

　　作为同伴教育员，我的思想境界也得到了升华。我们每个人都受益于社会，同时我们也要尽力回报社会。比如，外地的病人对北京比较生疏，当他们想在北京的药店买药时，我就上网帮助他们搜索最佳乘车路线，同时在网上对比多家药店的药物售价，首先自己一一打电话过去核实，然后挑选出来最优惠的信息告诉他们，使他们能在最短时间内花最少的钱买到最合适的药物。可能我个人的付出只有一分，但对他们的帮助却可能有好几分。他们不仅在购买药品、外出成本上节省了开支，更使他们感觉到了红丝带之家的关爱，感受到同伴教育员的爱心。我们的同伴教育员中有很多平凡朴实的助人故事，大家互相学习，互相借鉴，思想境界都有了提高。“——同伴教育员小林

　　北京红丝带之家是一家以为艾滋病患者和家属提供综合关怀与支持，其中为患者提供专业医疗服务支持为特色。近年来我们发现患者的需求越来越多元化，仅仅凭借医护人员及志愿者的服务已经很难满足患者需要。因此，我们在2008年开始在艾滋病患者中遴选并进行志愿者系统培训与考核，最终培养出一支由艾滋病患者为主角的同伴志愿者队伍。

　　这支同伴志愿者队伍主要为患者及家属提供服用药物经验分享，药物依从性“面对面”辅导，新感染者的危机干预，艾滋病患者和家属的心理情感支持，住院患者的同伴探访与关怀，网络信息宣教。同伴教育员在为患者和家属提供志愿服务同时也让自己在奉献过程感受到了自我价值，帮助这些原本是病人的“志愿者”回归、重塑了社会角色，让生命之火重新焕发出璀璨光辉。
