腾讯科技讯 北京时间7月26日消息，据国外媒体报道，微软董事长比尔·盖茨(Bill Gates)被印度政府授予英迪拉·甘地和平奖，以表彰他在慈善事业方面的突出贡献。

英迪拉·甘地和平奖每年颁发一次，表彰在促进和平、发展以及新的国际经济秩序方面有突出贡献的个人或组织。

截至2009年7月，比尔及梅林达·盖茨基金会对印度的卫生和发展项目捐赠累计近10亿美元，其中大多数资金用于预防艾滋病和根治脊髓灰质炎。

Beijing Tencent Tech News July 26, according to foreign media reports, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates (Bill Gates) has been awarded the Government of India Indira Gandhi Peace Prize, in recognition of his outstanding charitable contributions.

Indira Gandhi Peace Prize, presented annually in recognition in the promotion of peace, development and the new international economic order of the individuals or organizations who have made outstanding contributions.

As of July 2009, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to India's health and development projects to donate a total of nearly one billion U.S. dollars, of which the majority of funds for the prevention of AIDS and eradicate polio.
