天主教宗首次表态可用避孕套预防艾滋病

梵蒂冈向来反对任何避孕措施，不过天主教教宗本笃十六世，首次在即将出版的一本新书中表示，在一些合情合理的情况下，可以使用避孕套以防止艾滋病。
天主教教宗本笃十六世周六在梵蒂冈圣彼得大教堂主持仪式，擢升24位新枢机，授予红衣主教礼冠，教宗表示教会的角色不是支配而是服务。
梵蒂冈当地一份报章当晚，提前披露教宗新书的部份内容，教宗在书中一改梵蒂冈一向禁止任何避孕措施的态度，首次提到某些情况下可以使用避孕套，例如男妓用避孕套来减少艾滋病的传播危险，是承担道德责任的第一步。不过，教宗也强调避孕套不是对付艾滋病感染的道德解决办法。
出席新主教活动的巴西枢机主教表示，当今的世界无时无刻不在快速变化中，这对教会带来新挑战，他强调，教会必须要接触社会，避免自身的停滞。
教宗去年在访问非洲时指出，避孕套无助解决艾滋病问题，反而会加剧艾滋病的传播，激起外界的猛烈抨击。
这本名为《世上光》的新书，是依据德国记者彼得·西瓦德陆续访问教宗的内容写成，预计将于下周上市。
