还有三个月世界杯就要开始了。南非准备工作做得怎么样了？答案是还缺——缺少大量的安全套。这不，日前南非总统祖马到英国参加艾滋病防治峰会，会见英国女王时就请求大量支援安全套。
据英国《卫报》报道，昨天英国政府宣布，将免费向南非赠送4200万个安全套。英国国际发展部大臣托马斯表示，考虑到南非世界杯会有大批游客和球迷（包括英国球迷）前往南非——“南非意识到他们急需安全套，我们对南非的求助予以响应。”
4200万个，看起来似乎是一个天文数字。但是和南非政府的希望比缺口还很大——在他们之前的呼吁中，他们希望在世界杯期间能用来防控艾滋病的安全套数目是10亿个。
世界杯举行也就一个月左右的时间，南非安全套需求为什么有10亿个之多？也许看看下面的数字，你就能明白。
4万——据南非中央药品局不久前估计，世界杯期间世界各地可能有4万多妓女涌进南非，加上南非本土的（虽然卖淫在南非是违法的，但是去年就有性交易合法化的呼声），将是一个非常庞大的数字。
更可怕的是，在南非全国有一半妓女感染艾滋病病毒，南非政府自己都估计世界杯赛事期间，将会有4.2万人中招。不久前香港《文汇报》报道，世界杯期间南非当地不少妓女准备“全天候开工”，只要有生意就做，保守估计每天接客20人，这样一来，世界各地的球迷感染艾滋病的风险就更大了。

570万——据介绍，南非是世界上艾滋病感染率最高的国家。联合国的统计数据表明，在南非近4800万人口中，大约有570万艾滋病患者。每天有1400人被感染，近1000名患者因为艾滋病死亡。
