美近两千老兵或染艾滋

美国一家老兵医疗中心被曝牙科设备出现问题，可能导致曾接受诊治的1800多名老兵染上致命的艾滋病病毒。此消息曝光后，立即在美各界掀起轩然大波。
澳大利亚新闻网1日报道称，2009年2月1日至2010年3月10日，1812名老兵曾在密苏里州的圣路易斯VA医疗中心的牙科接受过治疗。然而这一期间，该医疗中心的牙科设备没有进行正规的无菌处理。该医疗中心每年会为5万多人进行健康护理。
该医疗中心已经组建专门的医疗小团队为上述老兵进行详细检测，以确定他们是否感染了肝炎或HIV。
圣路易斯老兵医疗中心一再强调，感染的可能非常小。但该消息还是在美国各界引起强烈反响，诸多老兵对该医疗中心不负责任的行为表示了强烈谴责。福克斯新闻台6月30日披露，美国众议院立法委员会已经呼吁白宫和美国退役军人管理局出面严查此事。

Named by a U.S. veterans medical center dental equipment problems that may lead to diagnosis and treatment have received more than 1,800 veterans infected with the deadly AIDS virus. This news came to light, immediately caused a big uproar in the U.S. public.
