探访艾滋病童的“避风港湾” 他们渴望更多帮着

内容提要：进到院内，只见是左右连通的两排房子，左边安安静静，几位早先来到的中年女义工在厨房里制作爆米花，甜香满屋。右边则热闹非凡，几位黑人女护士和年轻的女义工领着十多位一两岁大的孩子在玩球，有些小女孩踢得有模有样，连躺椅里的小宝贝也跳着摇摆舞助兴。屋子里的陈设虽不奢华，但亦充满了童趣……
最好的礼物是面粉
从富贵安逸的桑顿出发，蜿蜒驶过几条窄马路，十多分钟后眼前便换了另一幅景况，虽同样静谧，却显得萧瑟，房屋老旧，有的衰败，路上少有豪车，行人寥寥走在草地上，都是黑人。诺曼迪妈妈的大房子，就在一条小路的中间。绿色栅栏围着一栋平实的民居——与桑顿的房子相比，它堪称“寒舍”。栅栏上挂着门牌：诺曼迪妈妈艾滋孤儿之家。我们拎着从超市买来的礼物走了进去。礼物是一大袋面粉，多琳说，这是诺曼迪妈妈最喜欢的。她不让他们吃零食，而面粉可以用来做早餐。

虽是与老义工结伴而行，我这陌生东方面孔的出现还是引起了护士们的警觉，一位中年黑人护士本能地将怀中的黑孩子搂得更紧。多琳和我说明来意：从中国来的记者想看看南非艾滋孤儿的生活真相。护士仍紧张：“我要去找诺曼迪。”
诺曼迪妈妈来了
这是一位50来岁的黑人妇女，穿着一身廉价的运动衫裤，岁月在她本不妩媚的脸上已经刻下了许多沟壑，眼神却极动人。她的到来让所有人包括孩子们，立时安静下来。孩子们全都停止吵闹，拥到她身边，脸蛋厮磨“妈妈”的腿。
看见我带着相机，诺曼迪有些狐疑，却充满歉意地说，“你知道，有很多人到这儿来拍照，然后把孩子们的照片贴到电线杆上，警告人们不要感染艾滋。”她难过的表情让我们的心也像被撕裂了一样的痛。
诺曼迪带着些微感慨说，“你是到这里来的第一个记者。”这倒让我有些惊讶。她说大多的记者，不管南非的还是外国的，都喜欢去大的艾滋医院，而这所房子，少人关心。但我知道，这所房子和诺曼迪，在约堡已经为越来越多的人所知晓，所敬慕。
渴望更多的帮助
诺曼迪妈妈无比忙碌，却仍抽出十分钟时间领着我参观了整个“大房子”。这是一栋完全用善款建起来的房子，而设计、装修、维修一切的事，几乎全靠诺曼迪一个人。4年前，拥有高级护理资格的诺曼迪在这里成立了艾滋孤儿护理中心，最初只有她和两个孩子，现在已经收养了39名患有艾滋或其他疾病的遗弃儿童。
与公立医院里的病童们不同的是，这里的孩子们与别的健康孩子唯一的区别是他们与生俱来的三个字母：HIV。他们健壮活泼，他们读书识字，他们爱运动，除了需要定期接受抗HIV药物注射，他们与普通的孩子无异。一个令人惊叹的奇迹是，这里有8名身体状况最好的孩子竟然可以在普通学校就读。
诺曼迪妈妈的房子也像一所学校，从托儿所、幼儿园直到小学的寄宿制学校。婴儿们每人拥有一张摇床，大孩子每人有一张小床，他们有卧室，有浴室，有教室，有操场，有游戏室，还有迷你电影院。当然，除了少数孩子会在周末被父母接回家小住外，剩下的大部分是“终生寄宿”在这里的。
这所“学校”还有一间特别的注射室。新被收养的孩子在这里抽取血样，然后送到医院检测HIV。确认HIV阳性的孩子定期在这里注射抗HIV药物。“他们被送到这里的时间越早，身体状况就会越好。”诺曼迪说，她希望那些不愿意抚养孩子的父母都可以尽早把孩子送来。
诺曼迪妈妈清楚地记得每个孩子被收养的过程，他们都是她的王子和公主。也许只有和孩子们玩耍的时候，她才能短暂地忘记一切烦忧。如今，孩子们的药物由政府免费提供，当地一家大型超市定期捐赠衣食所需，其余的，便是诸如一袋面粉或几包饼干之类的零星捐赠。诺曼迪用自己的积蓄堵上缺口，一天一天地艰难维持至今。现在她有了几名专业护士帮手，护士们的工资也需要她来解决。诺曼迪说，如果有更多的定期捐赠，她的心理负担会减轻很多。
除此之外，大孩子们的教育问题也让人头痛，诺曼迪迫切希望有专业教师来这里做义工。让人高兴的是，南非世界杯期间，竟然还有一些外国游客也来到这里做短期义工，他们牵着自己的漂亮孩子，来看弟弟妹妹们。诺曼迪妈妈焦虑的背影渐远，诺曼迪妈妈说，她相信会有更多的人听到她的呼唤，更多的关爱来到这里。
