博茨瓦纳采取行动降低孕产妇死亡率〔14%死于艾滋病感染〕

新华网哈博罗内1月13日电(记者郭骏 罗淑珍)博茨瓦纳卫生部官员12日表示,博茨瓦纳政府将于下月开展“快速降低非洲孕产妇死亡率”运动,进一步有效减少孕产妇死亡现象。
博茨瓦纳卫生部公共卫生局局长希娜兹·艾尔·哈拉比在向博茨瓦纳议会艾滋病委员会做简要汇报时称,长期以来博茨瓦纳政府努力采取减少孕产妇死亡率的措施,如完善产前检查和接生制度,但孕产妇死亡率仍居高不下。在孕产妇死亡病例中,28%死于大出血,16%死于妊娠高血压,14%死于艾滋病感染,13%死于早产。
博茨瓦纳中央统计局的数据显示,博茨瓦纳2009年的孕产妇死亡率为1.896‰。与许多非洲国家类似,许多博茨瓦纳人,特别是在农村地区,固守在家生产的传统方式。这一方面是因为医院少,费用高,离家远,但更主要的是,由熟人为产妇接生是非洲数百年来的传统,在人们的思想中根深蒂固。
