胡锦涛会见克林顿 克林顿赞赏中国认真致力于解决艾滋病问题

    据新华社电 国家主席胡锦涛19日在华盛顿会见了美国前总统克林顿。

    胡锦涛对克林顿为中美关系发展作出的重要贡献表示高度赞赏。在当前形势下，中美两国拥有越来越多的共同利益。两国政治上要加强互信，经济上要加强合作，人民之间要加强往来，国际问题上要加强沟通和协调。中美关系发展得好，不仅中国人民高兴，美国人民高兴，亚太及世界各国人民也会高兴。

    克林顿赞赏中国认真致力于解决艾滋病问题，表示愿意同中方加强在此问题上的合作。胡锦涛表示中方有关部门愿意继续加强同克林顿基金会的合作。
