中国政府要求进一步加强防治艾滋病疫情

　　国际在线消息：中国政府近日要求进一步加强艾滋病防治工作，遏制艾滋病疫情不断蔓延的趋势，改善针对艾滋病患者和病毒携带者的医疗服务。

　　中国国务院发布的通知要求，各相关机构要加强宣传教育，扩大监测检测覆盖面，最大限度地发现艾滋病病毒感染者，并注重预防母婴传播，减少艾滋病病毒的传播几率。力争到2015年重点地区和重点人群疫情快速上升的势头得到基本遏制，到2020年全国疫情得到较好控制，继续保持低流行水平。

　　通知还强调，要努力照顾和保护艾滋病患者和病毒携带者，消除社会歧视，保障他们在就医、就业、入学等方面的合法权益。

　　据联合国艾滋病规划署估计，截至2009年年底，中国的艾滋病病毒携带者已达到74万名。

International Online News: The Chinese government recently called for further strengthening AIDS prevention and control, curb the spreading AIDS epidemic trend and improve living with HIV for AIDS patients and health care services.

China's State Council issued the notification requirement, the relevant institutions to strengthen publicity and education, expand surveillance and testing coverage, and maximize the detection of HIV infection, and focus on prevention of mother to child transmission, reduce the risk of HIV transmission. 2015 strive to focus on key areas and the momentum of rapid increase in the epidemic among the basic containment by 2020 the country was better control of the epidemic, continue to maintain low prevalence levels.

The circular also stressed the need to care for and protect AIDS patients and HIV carriers, elimination of social discrimination, ensuring their medical care, employment, schooling and other aspects of legal rights.

According to UNAIDS estimates, as of the end of 2009, China's HIV carriers has reached 740,000.
