本报讯（记者 杨益） 昨天，“中美艾滋病防治学术交流报告会”在长春举行，美国阿尔伯特·爱因斯坦医学院终身教授，现任全球HIV药物研究所主任卡罗尔·哈里斯教授来做交流，她是美国治疗艾滋病第一人。
卡罗尔30年前就从事艾滋病治疗工作，美国的第一个艾滋病患者就是她进行治疗的。据她介绍，艾滋病已经成为严重威胁人类生存和发展的社会性问题，随着全球一体化进程，没有哪个国家可以逃避艾滋病带来的危害，只有各国政府、有关组织联合起来，积极研究艾滋病防控策略，实现资源和成果共享，才能够遏制艾滋病在全世界的传播和蔓延。
