李明和艾滋孤儿一起包饺子
一个偶然的机会，他走进了两个艾滋病家庭，与5名艾滋孤儿结下了不解之缘。近七年来，他逢年过节都会去看望孩子们，后来每个月还向5个孩子的账户里分别存入100元。孩子们逐渐长大了，学会了感恩，说他们有一个共同的“武警爸爸” ——武警亳州支队利辛中队指导员李明。
摇摇晃晃的凳子
李明是个土生土长的涡阳汉子， 2004年9月从武警亳州支队涡阳中队调到利辛中队担任指导员。在一次军民联谊活动中，利辛县刘家集乡陆桃园村一名村干部说，他们那里是艾滋病重灾区，有一些父母因艾滋病双亡的孤儿，不仅生活十分困难，而且面临着辍学的危险。李明听后，决定代表部队去看望一下。

据李明介绍，陆殿文的儿子因为卖血染上了艾滋病，后因无钱医治自杀了， 3个孩子只好跟年迈的爷爷陆殿文一起生活。陆乃廷家的情况类似，儿子也给他撇下了2个孩子，他还要照顾重病卧床不起的老伴。“太穷了，除了几床散发着霉味的破被子，没有一点值钱的东西，甚至连给我们坐的凳子都摇摇晃晃。”
李明说当时他实在不忍心再看下去，分别留下了500元现金后，揉着眼睛离开了这两个家庭。从此以后，每逢端午、中秋、春节，李明都要带着吃的和慰问金去陆殿文和陆乃廷家看望5个艾滋孤儿。
十年一顿的饺子
2008年 3月，到利辛工作近四年，李明担心上级随时会将他调到其他地方工作，没时间去看望孩子们，就把陆殿文和陆乃廷两个老人带到县城，各自办了一张银行卡。每次领工资，李明就给5个孩子每人存入100元。
2009年春节前，李明再次来到陆殿文、陆乃廷家中，虽然此时当地政府已经给这两家办理了低保。但陆殿文和陆乃廷考虑到几个孩子将来要娶妻生子，一直省吃俭用攒建房子的钱，生活仍然十分艰苦，快过年了家里居然连一点肉也没买。大年三十上午，李明跟村干部取得联系，把当时在家的两个孩子接到了中队。

目前，在李明资助的5名艾滋孤儿中，年龄稍大的孩子已经外出打工，几名年龄小的孩子仍然在学校读书，沐浴着李明父爱一般的温暖。
