Right To Play China is a global leader in developing and delivering play-based child development programs that foster the healthy physical, social and emotional development of children. Our programs also focus on life skills that will empower poverty-affected children and children in difficult situations to participate in their own development, rights and protection. Right To Play China promotes children’s increased access to quality basic care and developmental services.
 
Summary of Role:
Right To Play Partnership Development Assistant, will be responsible for providing support to RTP China programs in two areas:
1)      Partnership Development
2)      Corporate Staff Engagement Activities
 
His/her role includes supporting the partnership development team in research, develop and maintain partners for Right To Play meet program goals. He/she will also support all partnership development initiatives and will work to increase the quality of partnership development and all corporate staff engagement activities.
 
1)      Partnership Development
    -Research on research on giving trends, international and local social mobilization best practice, NGO positioning, related with child-centered Programs and campaigns, in order to form framework of social mobilization.
    -Support to develop partnership development strategy for Right To Play Programs, based on in-depth discussion with different stakeholders including government, foundations, NGOs, private sectors and the public.
    -Support to develop and maintain potential partners database, Identify new potential partners for specific programs & analyzing their program pipelines.
    -Assist in partnership development activities, such as visit, event and follow up
    -Coordinate with program team to facilitate program proposal development, funding priorities, etc.
    -Support to develop partnership development strategy for Right To Play Programs
 
2)      Corporate Staff Engagement Activities
    Develop corporate staff engagement strategy,
    provide consulting/training service for partners to participate in the child programs
     Assist in developing staff volunteer recruitment system;
     Coordinate in providing training to staff in corporate partners ; Support logistic and administrative elements to ensure smooth implementation of programs
    Work with partners to design and implement various events and activities with staff to maintain partnership.
 
Qualifications:
    Previous experience in education/child development a strong asset
    Knowledge of rural development issues an asset
    Fluency in writing, reading, speaking Mandarin is required
    Fluency in writing, reading, speaking English an asset
 
 A) EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION
Post-secondary education or above
 
B) EXPERIENCE
Understanding of humanitarian and development issues that are specific to China
An understanding of sport for development goals and a willingness to promote the benefits of sport and play as a tool for learning and development
C) COMPETENCIES / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
    Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and cross-cultural skills including the ability to strengthen collaborative relationships with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, social and political issues
    Ability to pragmatically solve problems and plan a course of action using analytical, conceptual, strategic and forward thinking abilities to achieve an effective resolution
    Ability to work under pressure
    Excellent oral and written communication skills

D) KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
·         Native speaker of Mandarin
·         Fluency in English
·         Understanding of marketing, public relations is a strong asset
·         Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Power Point
Salary: Commensurate with experience
