女子治疗艾滋病期间提供性服务获刑1年

中新网柳州8月21日电(段建军 曹伟军)记者21日从广西柳州市柳北区人民法院获悉，柳州市一名女子在治疗艾滋病期间仍到娱乐场所卖淫被警方抓获，柳北区法院8月19日对该案作出一审判决，以传播性病罪判处该女子有期徒刑一年，罚金5000元人民币。
2008年8月28日，柳州女子曾某经广西某医院检查，被确定患有艾滋病，自当年9月9日起一直在医院接受抗病毒治疗。今年4月3日凌晨零时30分，已经36岁的曾某来到柳州市某娱乐场所的包厢内，以200元人民币的价格向嫖客提供性服务，被公安机关当场查获。
一审法院认为，曾某明知自己患有艾滋病，仍然进行卖淫，其行为触犯《中华人民共和国刑法》，构成传播性病罪。
判刑后，曾某认罪不上诉。
